A Service of Healing

Wednesday, 12:00 (noon) pm, Wynne Chapel

“But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.” (Malachi 4:2)

A new worship opportunity for those in need of physical or emotional healing, located in Wynne Chapel. Held every Wednesday at noon, the service is liturgical in form and is designed to last less than one-half hour, focusing chiefly on confession, prayer for healing, and anointing with oil. If you, a loved one or friend are in need of our Lord’s healing touch, please join us.

The Psalmist wrote of the Lord’s willingness and readiness to heal those who call upon Him: “O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.” (Psalm 30:2) Indeed, the New Testament makes a clear promise to those who turn to the Lord in prayer and faith: “Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14,15)

A Service of Healing is an opportunity for all who suffer illness of any kind to step forward in faithful apprehension of God’s promise to heal those who lean upon Him. It is an opportunity for all believers to pray for those who are suffering. It is an opportunity for us to reach out to others with a blessing that may only be found in Christ.
